Palmer//Harding SS16 London Fashion Week

My new job includes going to events such as London Fashion Week, it's a tough job but someone's gotta do it!

I was invited to the Palmer Harding show on the 19th September which was held at the Mary Ward House. The pieces were inspired by paintings of Nathan Peter a contemporary artist, the paintings were presented at the show and were used as backdrops. A lot of the clothing were shirts and shirt dresses which is Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding's speciality. The duo used a lot of cotton, linens, leather, lace, stripes and de-threaded material inspired by Peter's art.

The make up was done by Maria Papdopolou using Suqqu Cosmetics. Maria said she wanted the make up to be simple dewy skin. The Hair was done by Stephen Low using L'Oreal Professional products was very simple sleek low ponytail with middle parting as there was a lot of statement jewellery by Sian Evans. The models were also carrying accessories on the clothes; pens from Sheaffer who were also one of the main sponsors for Palmer//Harding.

Fringe & Snake

I recently went into Zara as they were having their seasonal sales, it is always a great time to shop there. I purchased these snake pattern slippers, last one left in my size! it was just meant to be, and i couldn't resist. I have been wearing them with everything and anything! They are so versatile and compliment your outfit so well.

I also purchased the fringe bag in suede, it is a navy colour. I loved this instantly as i do not have this colour bag or material, also suede and fringe as very trendy right now as the 70's are back! i have been getting so many compliments on this bag, it can be worn on a night out or dinner with the girls. You do have to look after the bag as it is suede and the material can be tricky to wear.

Sleek Matte Me Birthday Suit Lipgloss Review

Ive really started to like Sleek products recently, and i purchased the Sleek Matte me 'Birthday Suit' lipgloss. I really like the colour its a nice nude with a hint of mauve in it. The colour looks great its very close to Mac's Velvet Teddy and Revlon Mauve It Over, the packaging is great. However, i the product dries out your lips! like sand dry! that is the only downfall i would say about the product. I would advice if you're not a professional make up artist to apply a little and build it up because it can be quite hard to apply liquid lipglosses. Other than that, the colour is beautiful! It is only £4.99 which is a bargain! You can purchase Sleek products at Boots or Superdrugs in the UK. Or online http://www.sleekmakeup.com/matte-me-birthday-suit

Mac Chili Lipstick Review

I recently purchased Chili from Mac, me and my girl friend went to the Mac in Manchester and she purchased it there and i loved the colour but i thought it wouldn't suit me as i am olive skin and she is quite fair/olive so everything suits her. But she said if i wear the colour with the right make up and clothes it would, and she was right.

I purchased Chili and i have had so many compliments on the colour and questions about it. Its not exactly red, it has an orange flame to it, i describe it as a burnt orange. It a very subtle brownish/red/orange, some people dont like to wear red as they feel its too much, this colour is just perfect. Its a matte texture but does not dry your lips at all, its long lasting - it lasted me around 8 hours, it goes on very smoothly like all Mac lipsticks. i love mixing this lipstick with Jane from Nars i think the two colours look great together. However, in the pictures below im wearing Chili on its own. The lipstick cost me £15.50 You can order the product here: http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/shaded/168/310/Lipstick/index.tmpl
